Delegate Reports
Dear Conference Attendees,
Today is May 10, and we are now 17 days away from our arrival in Marina del Rey for the 2011 MAWS Conference. By now all 2011 Delegates should be elected and have registered for the Conference, and should have joined this group. Delegates from last year, whether they are returning or not, should be working with new Delegates, sharing their experience, impressions, and encouragement as the Conference approaches.
Delegates should also be working together by now on their reports, which they will deliver before the Conference Body on Saturday. Following are some guidelines for this important facet of the Conference process:
Please submit your report to me via email PRIOR TO the Conference. The report should be as concise as possible but should include everything that the District feels they want the rest to MAWS to know about what's been going on the past year. You're encouraged to look at the report, not only of your District, but those of other Districts in the 2010 Minutes which are available on this Group. We will make sure you have time to read the entirety of your report, but please plan it for about five minutes' time.
When submitting the report, please:
Write your report in Microsoft Word or, if that is not possible, in a rich-text editor such as Write or Notepad. If you use a Mac, please make sure the file is Windows compatible. Please keep formatting to a minimum; the file will be formatted according to the Minutes standard in any case. Please
Please ATTACH your file to your email named with the following syntax: 2011 CONFERENCE DISTRICT X REPORT or, in the case of a Trustee, 2011 CONFERENCE COMMITTEE (or TRUSTEE) REPORT. Please DO NOT type your report into the body of your email (I ask this every year and every year someone manages to do it anyway). Please DO NOT send me a scan of your handwritten report; please do not send a PDF, and please DO NOT bring the report on a sheet of paper to the Conference. I need it electronically.
Please send the report email to: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and place the title of your report in the subject line.
And allow me to thank you in advance for adhering to these guidelines, and thank you all in advance for all the work you're doing, and will be doing, in this effort. I look forward to seeing each and every one of you at this year's Conference, and working with you over the Memorial Day Weekend to bring off another successful job well done. Feel free to email me at the office email above if you have any questions.
In loving service,
Tom WhiteMAWS/ANLP Office Manager
